Kate is a millennial entrepreneur, blogger, speaker and public relations influencer. She has built an award-winning digital PR agency from a solopreneur practice to one of the Top 10 PR Firms in Central Ohio. Kate has been recognized as one of PR News’ Top Women in PR, Smart Business Network’s “Smart 50” Class of 2016 and Columbus Business First’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2016.
A veteran of the PR industry, Kate had experienced 90-hour workweeks and complete burnout from the high-pressure, “always-on” work environment. Knowing there was a better way, she founded Belle Communications at the ripe old age of 28 with the vision to empower meaningful work and thriving relationships through results-driven PR and social media.
Over the course of her career, Kate has worked with more than 50 brands, some of which include: Panera Bread, Chick-fil-A, the University of Notre Dame, the Alzheimer’s Association, Project Runway designer Korto Momulu, and Columbus brands Lextant, Sbarro, Kahiki Foods and Freedom a la Cart.
Kate and her team have secured more than 3000 media opportunities for clients, including coverage with Harvard Business Review, TODAY, NPR, Oprah, Rachael Ray, MTV News, CNN and more. She has been featured as a source and contributor to top media and PR outlets like CNNMoney, Entrepreneur, Huffington Post, CIO, PRWeek, Cision, PRDaily and PR News.
Kate recently completed her first half marathon, loves to shop and (usually) maintains a Paleo diet. She is also an aspiring puppy owner.
